Finally finished this and I was happy it didn't disappoint. It was a little difficult to stop thinking about the movie characters and portrayal so if you haven't watched it yet, I would advice reading it first. I loved the story up until the Games where I really started to dislike Katniss. She was much too calculating, even for someone who was trying to stay alive, and by the end of the book I was pretty annoyed with her. I know she is supposed to be a strong female character but it did her no favours to be so cold. I couldn't help feeling sorry for Peeta's character and although I can guess how things are going to pan out in the next book, I'm still hoping I'll be surprised. A great book, nonetheless. On to the next one...
