Wow! This book was pretty much perfect for me. I don’t want to say too much about the story but I couldn’t get enough. Yes, it’s been decades since I was in the age bracket for it (middle grade…ehem) but I loved it! Princesses, princes, villains all in one magical school - great recipe for a fantastic fairytale! Agatha and Sophie are great characters and I couldn’t help rooting for both of them, even when they were clearly being idiotic about stuff. Tedros was a little annoying as the love interest but he grew on me in the end. Also the story ending felt a bit rushed but I imagine that might have been because Chainani was trying to get things all wrapped up for book two. It didn’t bother me though, still loved this book and can’t wait for the next instalment.
