Took forever to get going but worth it in the end
It took six months for me to finish this book. Six months! Why? Because I found the beginning incredibly difficult to get through. For some reason though I kept picking it up after abandoning it in favour of other books, and it finally paid off. After about ten chapters, the story started to come together and I began to enjoy Nesbo's style of writing. I also began to warm to Harry Hole and the unfolding story. This is the first book in the harry Hole series I've read so I had nothing to go on and that might not have helped. Anyway, long story short, enjoyable thriller with a few good twists and turns...if you can get through the beginning.
